What are the requirements to obtain a loan?
You must be at least 18* years old and have:
- A job or proven source of income
- An email address
- An active and valid checking account
- Reside in a state in which Plain Green does business
All signed Loan Agreements are subject to verification of prior Plain Green loan history and application information. Your online application will be either approved or declined based on our evaluation of the information you provide. In some cases, we may need to ask for additional information. For most customers, it's quick and hassle-free. Plain Green customers can finance one Plain Green loan at a time.

How will I know if my application is approved?
After you submit your online application, your results will be available in a matter of seconds. If conditionally approved, subject to verification of your application information, you will be able to request how much you want to borrow up to your maximum approved amount. In the event we are unable to approve your application for credit, we'll notify you with the reason for denial.
How much can I borrow?
If this is your first Plain Green loan, you could qualify for $500 up to $1,000. See Loan Cost & Terms for additional information.
How soon will I get my money?
Loans that are approved and accepted by 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time (Monday–Friday, excluding bank holidays), loans will be funded the same day. Loans that are approved and accepted after 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time (Monday–Friday, excluding bank holidays) and before 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time (Monday–Friday) will be funded the following business day.
Please be aware that individual banks and credit unions may not make your fund immediately available. And that errors in your application, particularly with bank routing and account numbers, will cause delays.
VIP Rewards members also have the option to fund to their debit card which provides funds within 30 minutes, any day of the week.
Who is the lender?
Plain Green is a tribal lender of the Chippewa Cree Tribe operating within the boundaries of the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, Montana, a sovereign nation located within the United States of America. Loans from Plain Green are governed by the laws of the Chippewa Cree Tribe, not the law of your resident state. The laws of your resident state may have interest rate limits and other consumer protection provisions that are more favorable. If you wish to have your resident state law apply, you should consider taking a loan from a licensed lender in your state.
What will happen if I’m late on a payment?
It is your responsibility to make your loan payment by the due date, but we make it easy for you to avoid being late or missing a payment. You can schedule automatic electronic payments from your checking account or provide payment in one of the following forms (check or money order). If you do make a late payment, skip a payment, or a payment is returned to us, you may incur additional fees. If a payment is returned, we may submit the payment to your bank for reprocessing. What happens if my due date falls on a holiday?
By default, our system will take your payment on the business day before a holiday.
What are my funding options?
Customers can receive their loan funds via ACH directly into their checking account.
For loans that are approved with all documents signed by 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time (Monday–Friday, excluding bank holidays), loans will be funded the same day. Loans that are approved and accepted after 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time (Monday–Friday, excluding bank holidays) and before 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time (Monday–Friday) will be funded the following business day.
